Compliant with New York City regulations, this STEEL EXIT SIGN boasts ultra-bright, energy-efficient, long-life Red or Green LED lights. It features 8-inch EXIT letters approved for NYC use and operates on dual 120/277 voltage. The sign includes an 'ON' LED indicator light and a push-to-test switch for code compliance testing. An optional 3.6V long-life, maintenance-free, rechargeable NiCd battery is available for emergency illumination, which is automatically connected to the LED board for a minimum of 90 minutes. The sign's two-rate charger can recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours. It comes with an aluminum mounting canopy for top or end mount, a universal knockout pattern on the back plate for wall mount, and a knockout for conduit feed applications. The durable, powder-coated 20-gauge steel construction is available in white or black finish, and the unique design allows for double face conversion in the field. Field-removable steel knockout Chevron directional indicators are included. The sign comes with a five-year warranty on all electronics and housing, with the battery prorated for five years. It meets UL924, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NEC, OSHA, and Local and State Codes.
